Job summary

Zurich North America is hiring an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter – E&S Property in a hybrid role based in Chicago, Atlanta, or New York. You will analyze, underwrite, and price renewal and new business, collaborating with national wholesalers to drive profitable growth while meeting market needs.

You will work with upper-level guidance, meet brokers, and maintain adherence to underwriting frameworks and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years underwriting or market facing experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 1+ years in underwriting or market facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 4+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer industry advocate to improve the customer experience by understanding risk and delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Apply disciplined exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing.
• Use risk insights, data and models to drive informed decisions at the point of sale.
• Engage in market-facing production within the E&S Standard Property group.
• Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating manuals.
• Work within broad limits on highly complex assignments.
