Job summary

Zurich North America seeks an Underwriting Specialist OR Executive Underwriter, Large Property for the National Accounts Large Property Underwriting team in San Francisco or Seattle. This hybrid role requires in-office presence and a flexible schedule with your manager to support customers and brokers.

You will analyze and underwrite new and renewal business under The Zurich Way framework, focusing on sales execution and strong service to clients.

Qualifications

• High level sales and underwriting capabilities required for market-facing role.
• Strong communication skills are essential for broker interactions and internal collaboration.
• Experience in working in a team environment within underwriting or brokerage settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to retain and acquire business.
• Support sales culture by serving as a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
