Job summary

Zurich North America seeks an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter – E&S Property to join our team. The role is hybrid, with locations in New York, Chicago, or Atlanta, and includes market-facing responsibilities and collaboration with national wholesalers.

Expect three days in the office per week to meet brokers and agents. You will underwrite and analyze new and renewal business, applying The Zurich Way of Underwriting within delegated authority and focusing on profitability and

Qualifications

Experience in underwriting or market facing area is required.
Preferred: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree.
Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serving as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience by understanding their risk and offering the best end to end solution.
Using a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing.
Using risk insights, data, and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale.
Market facing and production within the E&S Standard Property group.
Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
