Sony Electronics Inc. seeks a seasoned Controller to support the DTC ecommerce business in North America. The role partners with Global stakeholders to deliver financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning.

Based in San Diego, CA, the position emphasizes optimizing processes, controlling costs, and driving cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment with a hybrid home/office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years in e-commerce or fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with accounts payable operations and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Execute general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Maintain all accounting records and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable function including invoice receipt, coding, approval, and payment processing.
• Prepare financial statements, dashboards, and variance analysis for management review.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and drive process improvements across operations.
• Document and standardize accounting processes and measure improvements.
