Job summary

Legato, LLC seeks a DSP Software Engineer in Hanover, MD, with TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance. Salary range $160,000-$250,000, with up to 2 days of telework. You'll design and implement DSP algorithms in C++, Linux, and Python, focusing on high-throughput signal processing and complex environments.

The role requires a strong DSP background, expertise across software development, and the ability to document algorithms for the team. Multiple levels exist with compensation aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with emphasis on digital signal processing.
• Experience designing and implementing DSP algorithms in software.
• Experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development technologies.
• Strong understanding of signal processing concepts, including low SNR, higher-order modulation, or adaptive modulation.
• Experience developing, modifying, debugging, integrating, and testing complex software or algorithms.
• Ability to document and explain developed models and algorithms for team use.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop DSP software and algorithms for high-throughput signal processing.
• Modify and enhance existing software/firmware and integrate new capabilities.
• Work in C++, Linux, and Python; collaborate across software, systems, and hardware teams.
