Job summary

VTG seeks a Software Engineer with Digital Signal Processing expertise to design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms in C++ on Linux within a mission-critical government environment.

You will implement high-throughput DSP solutions, adapt COTS/GOTS products, document algorithms, and collaborate with engineering teams. US citizen with TS/SCI with Poly and a BS in engineering or CS, plus 4 years of experience.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
• 4 years of experience in similar software development environments
• Proficiency in C++ programming and Linux operating systems
• Experience designing, developing, or implementing DSP algorithms

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize DSP algorithms using C++ in Linux environments.
• Develop software solutions focused on high-throughput signal processing and exploitation.
• Design and implement algorithms for processing signals with low SNR, higher-order modulations, and adaptive modulation techniques.
• Analyze signal characteristics and develop processing techniques to improve detection, extraction, and interpretation.
• Modify, enhance, and maintain existing software and firmware to meet evolving requirements.
• Integrate and adapt COTS and GOTS products to support government applications.
• Develop, test, debug, and validate software components for performance and reliability.
• Create technical documentation describing DSP algorithms, mathematical models, and software implementations.
• Communicate complex DSP models to engineering teams for integration and reuse.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to identify requirements and implement solutions.
• Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, integration activities, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DSP software, algorithm performance, and system integration issues.
