Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group in Hanover, MD is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain secure, high-performance software for national security missions.

You will lead DSP algorithm development using C++, Python, Linux, and collaborate across systems and hardware teams; strong emphasis on performance, security, and mission impact.

Starting pay range is $200k–$265k annually with sign-on bonus up to $10k; candidacy requires TS/SCI with Poly.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience as a DSP Algorithm Developer.
• 12+ years of software development using C++, Linux, Python, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on C++ development experience within the last 10 years.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing DSP algorithms.
• Experience with software design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize DSP algorithms and software solutions.
• Analyze requirements to derive software design, functional, and performance requirements.
• Develop and maintain software using C++, Python, Linux, and related technologies.
• Debug, test, and optimize software for performance-sensitive environments.
• Collaborate across software, systems, and hardware engineering disciplines.
• Lead software development activities and ensure compliance with standards.
