Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation (UMAF) seeks a Prospect Research Analyst to identify major donors and evaluate their capacity and interests. You will support fundraisers and leadership with targeted materials and grow UMAF's prospect pipeline.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Prospect Development, you will help maintain donor data, collaborate with the Prospect Management team, and contribute to fundraising strategies advancing UMAF's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in prospect research/management or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with donor databases and research tools such as LexisNexis, iWave, and SEC filings.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective major donors through diverse research methods and prospect lists.
• Assess gift capacity, interests, and likelihood to give; inform fundraising strategy.
• Prepare donor materials for fundraisers and leadership.
• Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline with the Prospect Management team.
• Enter and maintain accurate biographical, professional, and financial data in the donor database.
