Job summary

Janney is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor-Dividends to lead a team responsible for accurate and timely processing of corporate actions and dividends. You will train associates, set performance standards, and escalate issues to management while coordinating with department managers to maintain high service levels in a hybrid Philadelphia office.

The role requires 5-7 years in the industry, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and licenses (Series 99/7 within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years related industry experience.
• Series 99 or Series 7 must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Effective project management skills evidenced by successful project implementations.
• Superior time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Independent, creative thinker able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced expertise using Microsoft Office Applications.
• Familiarity with DTCC, JP Morgan, BNYM, Thomson Beta a plus.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience and ability to motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Review accurate and timely processing of Corporate Actions cash and stock proceeds on payable date.
• Supervise timely field notification of upcoming Voluntary Corporate Actions.
• Oversee departmental account daily reconciliations.
• Organize associates to achieve service goals; provide work direction and coordinate workflow.
• Train new associates on Janney policies and procedures; support open dialogue.
• Assign and monitor work completed by the team.
• Recommend hiring, terminations, staffing, or promotions decisions.
• Review PTO requests and approve/deny based on coverage.
• Review timesheets for accuracy and approve/adjust.
• Collaborate on strategic/operational decisions for the Operations Department.
• Proactively recommend innovations to improve processes.
