Job summary

Janney is seeking a Dividend Reorg Associate to provide professional-level support across branches for dividend and corporate actions. You will work with Operations to ensure timely postings of proceeds and information delivery, while following field instructions for client accounts.

Responsibilities include processing cash/stock proceeds, notifying the field of actions, prioritizing tasks in fast-paced environments, and ensuring high accuracy with proactive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of financial industry experience, preferably with corporate actions.
• FINRA Series 99 and SIE required and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong initiative and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
• Team player in an agile environment with good communication.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience using Thomson Beta, BRIO and Metaviewer; familiar with DTCC/JPMorgan/BONY.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely processing of cash and stock proceeds on payable date.
• Timely notification to the field of upcoming Corporate Actions.
• Prioritize and execute duties quickly and accurately within tight timeframes.
• Reconcile departmental suspense accounts daily.
• Monitor daily functions with a view to process improvement.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients (internal and external).
• Interface with Operations and Management Teams and other departments.
• Update or draft policies and procedures as needed.
• Assist with projects and operational initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Dividend Reorg Associate provides professional level support to all branches regarding dividend and corporate actions. This position works closely with all Operations Teams to ensure timely and accurate postings of proceeds, timely and accurate delivery of time-sensitive information and will act on instructions from the field for all client accounts.

• Update policies and procedures as necessary and draft new policies and procedures asneeded
• Assist with projects and operationsinitiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist others whennecessary

What You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or a related discipline strongly preferred
• At least 1 year of financial industry experience, preferably with corporate actions
• FINRA Series 99 and Securities Industry Essentials [SIE] required [must be obtained within 6 months of hire]
• High degree of accuracy and attention todetail
• Strong initiative and time managementskills
• Ability to efficiently multi-task and meet criticaldeadlines
• An effective team player thatworks well in an agile environmentand interacts appropriately withothers
• Strong written and oral communicationskills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint andOutlook
• Experience using Thomson Beta, BRIO and Metaviewer aplus
• Familiarity with DTCC, JP Morgan, BONY aplus

This is a hybrid position requiring three days a week in our Philadelphia, PA office.
