Verdantas LLC is looking for a Mid-Level Distribution Engineer to join the Energy Services team in Grand Rapids or Petoskey, MI. This hybrid role focuses on the design and project management of electric distribution systems, particularly for medium-voltage applications. Candidates should hold a degree in engineering and have relevant experience in utility projects.

The position offers a salary range of $78,000 to $85,000 and includes various benefits like flexible work, paid parental leave, and health insurance.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in electric distribution engineering, preferably with a utility, municipality, or consulting firm.
• PE License is a plus, EIT preferred.
• Experience with load calculations and voltage drop analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design electric distribution systems (4kV–35kV).
• Develop construction work packages using GIS, AutoCAD, and client-specific design tools.
• Ensure compliance with utility standards and environmental regulations.
