Job summary

The Brain Development and Education Lab at Stanford University is seeking a full-time Director of Operations, Administration, and Strategy. This leadership role will guide administrative functions, financial planning, contracts, and organizational development for ROAR and related initiatives, with a hybrid work arrangement in Stanford, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills including conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for core administrative functions including contract management, proposal development, financial coordination, and operational support.
• Oversee contract and license agreement management, including drafting, tracking, and coordination with university offices to ensure compliance and timely execution.
• Lead budget development, monitoring, and financial planning, ensuring alignment between programmatic priorities and fiscal stewardship.
• Coordinate events and establish scalable administrative systems to support lab growth.
• Develop and implement organizational plans and cross-team collaboration to reduce bottlenecks.
• May supervise staff, students, or casual employees and guide staffing solutions.
