Stanford University’s Brain Development & Education Lab seeks a full-time Director of Operations, Administration, and Strategy to lead administrative and financial functions supporting ROAR and related initiatives.

The role partners with lab leadership to implement strategic plans, manage budgets, grants, contracts, and HR processes, ensuring scalable infrastructure for ROAR’s growth across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating budgets, contracts and HR processes within an academic or research setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for core administrative and financial functions including budgeting, contract management and operational support.
• Oversee grants, contracts and licensing compliance with university offices.
• Develop and monitor lab-wide budgets, forecasting and reporting.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic plans and staffing models.
• Manage or supervise staff, students, or casual employees as needed.
