Job summary

Easter Seals Greater Houston is seeking a Digital Learning Specialist to deliver personalized digital literacy training and connect clients with accessible tools to increase independence and participation in daily life. The role blends hands-on instruction with adaptive technology, serving diverse populations in the Houston area.

Hybrid work arrangement includes three days in the office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent life experience in education, disability, or technology-related field.
• 2+ years' experience facilitating community events and delivering trainings.
• 1+ years' experience working with underserved populations or clients who have disabilities in disability services, non-profit or educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group-based digital literacy training to people with disabilities.
• Facilitate digital inclusion using adaptive equipment like screen readers and magnification.
• Provide hands-on instruction with computers, smartphones, tablets, apps and other digital tools.
• Identify barriers and develop accessible learning materials and training activities.
• Demonstrate adaptive technologies and help clients identify tools meeting their goals.
• Support job readiness skills including resume development and virtual interviews.
