Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a Risk Aggregation Engine, focusing on CI/CD, build and deployment automation, and platform support in an enterprise setting.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Gradle, and Python scripting with strong collaboration across development, QA, infra, and security teams. Hybrid onboarding with onsite NYC and Jersey City is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Build/Release Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Python scripting, Git, Gradle, Jira.
• Understanding of SDLC and software release management practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins workflows.
• Support build, deployment, and release processes across environments.
• Automate software delivery and operational processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to support containerized applications and deployments.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and operational support.
• Support Gradle-based build processes and troubleshoot build-related issues.
• Monitor application and platform health and assist with incident resolution.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to improve deployment and operational processes.
• Track and manage work items through Jira.
• Respond to user access requests and support provisioning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in ongoing enhancements and support activities for the Risk Aggregation Engine environment.
