Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Jersey City, NJ, for in‑person engagement. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and support cloud deployments across AWS/Azure/GCP.

You will work with Docker and Kubernetes, implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, and manage Git workflows while monitoring, logging, and securing systems to ensure reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployments.
• Manage and support cloud environments, preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage source control, branching, release, and deployment strategies using Git.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, security teams, and operations teams.
• Implement DevOps and security best practices across development and production environments.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Support production releases, incident management, and environment upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, security, and system reliability.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the team supporting technology platforms and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and deployments, improving system reliability, and supporting cloud and production environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with DevOps tools, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, containerization, monitoring, and scripting.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control workflows.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell/Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
• Understanding of networking, security, authentication, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
