Job summary

Phoenix Operations Group is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Columbia, MD team. The role emphasizes AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD, automation, and Linux system administration.

The candidate will automate deployment, manage containerized environments, and ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing systems in a hybrid onsite setting (1–2 days/week in Columbia, MD).

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 5+ years of relevant DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience; OR Master’s degree with 3+ years; OR high school with 9+ years.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and deployment of cloud infrastructure within AWS, focusing on Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment processes.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and support reliable, scalable, and highly available infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software teams to integrate applications into cloud/containerized environments.
• Monitor production environments and troubleshoot issues across infra, apps, and OS.
• Develop scripts and automation with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, containerization, and IaC tech.
• Perform Linux sysadmin and troubleshooting.
