Job summary

Bradford House Historical Association seeks a Development Officer to advance individual and business giving funding our mission. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site donor engagement at our campus on Main Street, Washington, PA, and requires weekly meetings with the Executive Director to plan and review progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; related experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 2 years of direct solicitation, donor relations or related experience.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Little Green Light ideal), Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze complex data and synthesize insights for strategy development.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit compliance, donor privacy laws, and gift documentation practices.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• High discretion and professionalism with confidential information.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 development campaigns (individual and business).
• Provide campaign planning, management, and implementation.
• Support cultivation of Development Committee.
• Manage donor portfolio to increase retention.
• Identify and recruit new donors.
• Revitalize the Whiskey Rebel Society.
• Plan and coordinate donor cultivation events and sponsorships.
• Develop relationships for campus sponsorships and in-kind support.
• Act as spokesperson; build relationships; seek partnerships.
• Propose development strategy for Day of Giving and related efforts.
• Create and present reports for Executive Director and board; attend meetings as needed.
• Brief and prepare Executive Director for donor interactions.
