Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Desktop Support Technician to install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware and software for optimal workstation performance in a hybrid Washington, DC environment.

Responsibilities include building workstations, supporting a wide range of enterprise applications, troubleshooting, and creating end-user documentation. The role requires 5+ years of desktop support and US citizenship or equivalent, with non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related desktop support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 imaging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with enterprise applications and endpoint management tools such as SCCM and BigFix.
• Experience with ticketing systems, preferably Remedy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain workstations and laptops running Windows 10/11 and required applications.
• Install, configure, and support software including Adobe Acrobat Reader/Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Beyond Compare, IBM DB2, IBM Data Studio, IBM Rational tools, Java/Amazon Corretto, Microsoft Office 2019/M365, Project, Visio, SCCM, JIRA, Snagit, SEE, Tivoli BigFix.
• Troubleshoot desktop issues using independent research and vendor support, document resolutions in Remedy.
• Create user documentation for new processes and applications.
• Provide timely end-user assistance in person, by phone, or email.
• Support non-standard hours when required.
