Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to join our Endpoint Engineering team at the Seneca One Buffalo, NY location. The role focuses on SCCM/MECM, Windows endpoint management, and enterprise device deployment, with a pathway to support ATM/TCR imaging and related initiatives.

The candidate will manage OS deployment, patching, imaging, and deployment processes, while leveraging PowerShell automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
• Hands-on SCCM/MECM experience including OSD, software packaging, patch management, task sequences, and reporting.
• Deep knowledge of Windows desktop OS and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Advanced troubleshooting across OS, apps, drivers, and deployment technologies.
• Experience creating and supporting enterprise device images.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SCCM/MECM for OS deployment, software distribution, and patch management.
• Design, build, and maintain Windows device images and deployment methodologies.
• Develop endpoint standards and deployment processes for secure, reliable devices.
• Collaborate with ATM/TCR Engineering on imaging solutions and refresh initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of complex endpoint issues.
• Automate deployment and reporting using PowerShell and other tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Participate in project planning, testing, and rollout across endpoint initiatives.
