Job summary

Matthews International is seeking an Entry Design & Product Engineer (Software) to design and develop software in collaboration with product development. The role covers the full product life-cycle from concept to end-of-life support and requires knowledge of equipment, business and customer requirements.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days onsite (Tue, Wed, Thu) at Cranberry Township and 2 days remote. Local Pittsburgh area candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in designing and developing software components.
• Experience with coding, testing, implementing and maintaining application software.
• Ability to document software components and create user documentation.
• Familiarity with database design, data processing and security considerations.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot simple to moderate software issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes project requirements and assists with coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software.
• Participates in design, construction of applications, business reports and performance monitoring.
• Documents software components and creates user documentation; supports implementation and maintenance.
• Performs system tuning, data processing optimization and production support.
