Job summary

MFS is seeking a Derivatives Onboarding Analyst to join Derivatives Operations in Boston. You will support onboarding for derivatives across portfolios, coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Tech, and help maintain audit-ready records.

The role emphasizes onboarding practices, documentation, data quality, and cross-team collaboration to enable timely, compliant onboarding and risk-aware expansion of investment capabilities. Hybrid work is available in a US-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.
• 0-2+ years in Fixed Income operations, middle office, onboarding, or related capital markets.
• Basic knowledge of derivative products, fixed income instruments, and onboarding processes.
• Familiarity with ISDA, CSA, clearing documentation and regulatory adherence.
• Ability to follow guidelines while tackling complex problems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft 365 including Copilot.
• Familiarity with order management, trade processing, onboarding workflow, or reference data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Agreement Onboarding: support onboarding for derivatives using established guidelines.
• Coordinate onboarding with counterparties, brokers, and vendors; manage documentation and data.
• Track records to ensure terms are captured in systems and data repositories.
• Confirm terms with legal and support ISDA/CSA and related agreements.
• Conduct reconciliations and data quality reviews to mitigate risk.
• Maintain active trading agreements and ensure accounts are trade-ready.
• Support UAT for derivative onboarding tech implementations.
• Maintain documentation and audit-ready records.
• Identify control gaps and propose enhancements for efficiency and risk mitigation.
