Job summary

The State of Michigan, Department of Health and Human Services, seeks a Departmental Analyst at the 9-P11 level in Lansing. The role supports the Analytics, LTC Finance & Reimbursement Policy Section within the Actuarial Bureau, handling data analysis on eligibility, utilization, and rate development for Long-Term Care providers, and assisting with Medicaid budget monitoring.

Candidates will coordinate projects, conduct policy-impact analyses, and prepare reports to inform program decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any major.
• Experience varies by level: Analyst 9 requires none, Analyst 10 requires 1 year, Analyst P11 requires 2 years including 1 year at the intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, accesses and works with a wide range of program and financial data.
• Assists with coordination of projects, conducts analysis and research on eligibility, service utilization and rate development for LTC providers.
• Conducts analysis to support Medicaid budget development and monitoring.
• Performs analyses to estimate the programmatic and fiscal impact of policy changes.
