Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) seeks candidates for Departmental Analyst 9–12 positions based in Lansing.

The position is part of a team responsible for monitoring and oversight activities regarding Community Mental Health Service Provider (CMHSP) and Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) grants and contracts divided geographically within the work area. This position tracks and reviews contractor reports and corrective action plan submissions for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy. Responsibilities include reporting requirements and preparing documents for internal review.
This position is responsible for serving as the recognized resource for Community Mental Health Service Provider (CMHSP) and Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) contract monitoring and financial oversight, including summarizing contractor submitted financial reports, for assigned regions. Additional responsibilities include contract language review, reporting oversight, providing technical assistance, and corrective action plan oversight. The position works with several other MDHHS staff in different work areas to ensure unity and consistency of work. The position is responsible for the following work:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
No specific type or amount is required.
One year of professional experience.
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

The physical location of this position is 400 S Pine St, Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
