Job summary

Oakland Community Health Network is seeking an Accounting Cost and Utilization Analyst in Troy, MI. The role focuses on cost and utilization analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting across provider networks.

You will prepare regulatory reports, liaise with providers and MDHHS, and present complex analyses to support contracts and rate setting. A strong GAAP background and 3–5 years of data analytics is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3–5 years of data analytics and accounting experience.
• Understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and cost allocation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret cost and utilization data to monitor budgets and reporting.
• Prepare MDHHS encounter, loss ratio, and financial status reports as required.
• Serve as financial liaison between providers and OCHN; coordinate policies and directives.
• Represent OCHN in financial workgroups and meetings for provider networks.
• Communicate feedback to MDHHS regarding funding changes, codes, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed statistical analyses and visualizations for internal/external reports.
• Provide benchmarks and statistics on cost and utilization; analyze funding sources.
• Collaborate with program and fiscal staff on budgeting and resource allocation.
