Job summary

CSUN seeks a Department Coordinator to support the Department of Communication Studies. The role involves coordinating the Schedule of Classes, enrolling data analysis, and providing SOC data support to leadership.

You will handle scheduling issues, advise on improvements, and maintain calendars and records. The position is hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) with a one-year probationary period and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of academic scheduling, enrollment management, and reporting processes.
• Ability to analyze enrollment data and identify scheduling issues.
• Experience coordinating with faculty, leadership, and staff.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, implementation, and audit of the Schedule of Classes and final exams.
• Analyze historical enrollment and course-demand data to identify trends.
• Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and manage permission numbers.
• Support student success initiatives and calendar management.
• Maintain liaison with department chair, academic advisor, and analyst as needed.
