Job summary

Gexpro Services is seeking a Demand Planner to manage forecasting activities supporting customer service and inventory objectives. You will estimate future demand, analyze inventory flow, and develop forecast models for new and existing items.

The ideal candidate has supply chain or procurement experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. The role requires attention to data quality and collaboration across departments in a hybrid work environment in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain and procurement.
• Advanced computer skills including Excel, VBA, Power Pivots, Power BI/Tableau and SmartSheet.
• Ability to manage time and resources autonomously. Balances competing demands to ensure work is completed.
• Demonstrates a positive outlook, and remains calm and in control in stressful situations.
• Ability to collaborate, influence and communicate with all departments and levels of the organization.
• UseS logic and analytics to identify solutions to solve problems. Analyzes data, understands patterns and translates into meaningful information.
• Experience utilizing data mining tools, such as QAD to generate queries and build reports.

Responsibilities

• Generate next 18 months demand plans based on historical data and seasonality.
• Collaborate with sourcing, sales and service to improve the demand planning process.
• Publish a 3-month forecasting calendar in advance.
• Oversee the demand planning cycle and maintain SOPs and control documents.
• Ensure master data cleanliness for correct item codes.
• Gather inputs from customers, program managers and sourcing on demand planning.
• Facilitate consensus sign-off meetings and finalize monthly forecast.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and monitor improvements across cycles.
• Review outliers with the team to address deviations.
