Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Demand Controller to manage near‑term demand (2–12 weeks). You will align forecasts, sales orders, and production to sustain flow and meet customer needs in a collaborative, data‑driven environment.

You’ll partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to adjust plans, monitor performance, and drive improvements while supporting governance within the ITP process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related analytical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, customer service, supply chain analysis, or a similar data‑driven planning role.
• Experience with sales orders, customer forecasts, and short‑term demand–supply coordination is beneficial.
• Proficiency with demand planning systems; experience with Kinaxis, OMP, o9, SAP IBP or equivalent is a strong plus.
• Solid experience with ERP systems.
• Proactive and accountable, able to anticipate issues and resolve short‑term demand gaps under pressure.
• Customer‑focused and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy, stability, and transparency of the short-term execution signal (2–12 weeks).
• Review customer forecasts and sales orders to maintain an aligned near‑term demand view.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Production Scheduling to adjust the constrained demand plan.
• Highlight risks and opportunities, monitor demand patterns, and ensure data‑driven adjustments are understood.
• Track short‑term execution performance and drivers of week‑to‑week changes.
• Inform demand and supply planners of changes, shifts, or risks affecting longer‑term forecast.
• Provide visibility into short‑term customer demand behavior, including late orders and cancellations.
• Maintain data integrity in the system following changes to rebalances or customer inputs.
• Adhere to governance routines for demand control within the ITP process.
• Monitor demand realization and flag recurring issues like last‑minute order changes.
• Contribute to root‑cause analysis for deviations and propose corrective actions.
