Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Resolution Specialist to provide personalized service to members and resolve past due loan balances. Qualifications

• One year of Collections, Loss Mitigation, Loan Servicing, Sales, or Customer Service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Excellent negotiation, telephone and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Sandy, UT.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the needs of the membership and the credit union are met through professional, legal, and effective collection procedures.
• Adheres to MACUWay behaviors, values, and philosophy while fulfilling responsibilities as a team member of Servicing Operations.
• Maintain partnerships with Loan Servicing, Deposit Ops, Fraud, etc. to better serve membership.
• Collect on past due loans within the MACU lending portfolio and document all collection information.
• Collect on mortgages including reinstatements, repayment plans, and modifications while complying with policy.
• Consult members and co-signors via telephone and written communication regarding delinquency.
• Answers incoming calls from members, branches, and service center.
• Keys file maintenance on accounts and transfers payments on delinquent accounts.
• Explain repossession processes when needed and validate skip trace results.
• Overcome objections, de-escalate concerns, and explain MACU policy as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
