Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a Dispute Resolution Specialist to safeguard members' financial well-being by handling fraud and non‑fraud card‑related claims. You will review documentation, make decisions, and resolve claims with integrity.

In a hybrid role at Mountain America Center in Sandy, UT, you will collaborate with Fraud Data Analysts, communicate findings, log referrals, and stay current with regulations to support accurate and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail banking or related financial service and customer service experience.
Fraud or dispute-related experience preferred.
Knowledge of Visa, STAR, and/or Co-Op network rules preferred.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn applicable software.

Responsibilities

Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers via email and telephone, escalating complex concerns as directed.
Initiate card claims accurately and efficiently, advising business partners as needed.
Investigate complex card fraud, card disputes, and ATM dispute cases, including reviewing evidence such as transaction information, internal reports, online banking records, and security footage.
Own the outcomes and decisions of investigations, recognizing their direct financial impact on the member experience and organizational trust.
Review rebuttal documentation and compelling evidence from merchants on card fraud claims, and respond effectively to ensure favorable recovery outcomes.
Work closely with Fraud Data Analysts to communicate card fraud findings, contributing to the improvement of card fraud rules and prevention strategies.
