Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a Consultant in Data Science and Analytics to support model risk governance, validation, and data-driven insights. You’ll extract and analyze large datasets using R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark in cloud and server environments.

The role requires a quantitative degree and 4+ years of financial services analytics, with strong communication and project management skills. This hybrid role blends virtual work with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field.
• At least four years of professional analytical experience in financial services, consumer credit, or a related industry.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of model risk policies and governance.
• Collect, review, and organize model documentation for validation.
• Respond to requests from clients, regulators, and internal auditors while protecting IP.
• Partner with stakeholders to streamline governance and templates.
• Maintain enterprise model inventory and improve accuracy and usability.
• Develop and manage the annual model validation plan and activities.
• Create and present model risk training materials.
• Design programs for data extraction, segmentation, and analysis using R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark.
