Job summary

TransUnion LLC is seeking a data science and analytics professional to support model risk management and develop analytical solutions for credit risk. The role involves extracting data, building models, and collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and stakeholders across the organization.

You will design programs in R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark, and contribute to consulting engagements and research for TransUnion clients. This is a hybrid role with in-person work two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field.
• At least four years of professional analytical experience in financial services, consumer credit, or related industry.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments independently.

Responsibilities

• Support development of model risk management policies, procedures, and standards.
• Review and maintain model documentation for independent validation.
• Respond to model documentation requests from clients, regulators, and auditors.
• Collaborate with model developers, Legal, Compliance, and stakeholders to streamline governance processes.
• Maintain enterprise model inventory and improve governance and usability.
• Develop and manage the annual model validation plan and track activities.
• Create and present model risk management training materials.
