Job summary

Allied Personnel Services is seeking a Data Platform Architect in a hybrid Lehigh Valley role. You will design the data architecture in Microsoft Fabric, migrate legacy SQL databases, ETL processes, and reporting while setting standards for CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.

Qualifications

8+ years in data engineering/architecture roles; at least 1 year migrating to a modern data platform.
Experience with MS Fabric required; Azure Synapse/Databricks also considered.
Strong SQL engineering skills and experience building data pipelines/ETL.
Power BI proficiency and degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Design the firm's data architecture in Microsoft Fabric and lead migration of legacy SQL databases, ETL servers, and vendor reporting.
Establish standards for source control, CI/CD testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Define data delivery to users through semantic models, Power BI, and self-service tooling.
Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and unlock new capabilities.
Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.
Lead root cause diagnosis when processes fail.
