Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture roles; at least 1 year migrating to a modern data platform.
• Experience with MS Fabric required; Azure Synapse/Databricks also considered.
• Strong SQL engineering skills and experience building data pipelines/ETL.
• Power BI proficiency and degree strongly preferred.

This is hybrid role w/ 3 days/wk required in office.

In this role you will:

• Design the firm's data architecture in Microsoft Fabric and lead the migration of legacy SQL databases, ETL server processes, and aging vendor reporting into it
• Establish standards for source control, CI/CD testing, monitoring, and documentation
• Define how data is delivered to and interacts w/ users through semantic models, Power BI, and self-service tolling keeping a clear vision of the end user experience
• Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and unlock new capabilities
• Work w/ teams to identify opportunities to add efficiency through technology and translate those into architected solutions
• Lead root cause diagnosis when processes fail

Candidates for this role must have 8+ years experience in data engineering/architecture roles including at least one year delivered production migration to a modern data platform. Experience with MS Fabric is needed but experience w/ Azure Synapse or Databricks may be considered. Strong SQL engineering skills are needed as is experience building data pipelines/ETL. Proficiency w/ PowerBI is a must. A degree is strongly preferred. Those w/ experience in financial services, wealth management or RIA environments are preferred.
