Job summary

Allied Personnel Services seeks a Data Platform Architect to design the firm’s data architecture in Microsoft Fabric and lead the migration of legacy SQL databases, ETL server processes, and aging reporting into the platform.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering/architecture, strong SQL and Power BI skills, and experience with modern data platforms. A degree is preferred; financial services experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles.
• At least 1 year delivering production migration to a modern data platform.
• Experience with MS Fabric is required; Azure Synapse or Databricks may be considered.
• Strong SQL engineering skills and experience building data pipelines/ETL.
• Proficiency with Power BI is a must.
• A degree is strongly preferred.
• Experience in financial services, wealth management or RIA environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and migrate data architecture to Microsoft Fabric, migrating legacy SQL databases and ETL processes.
• Establish standards for source control, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and documentation.
• Define data delivery models using semantic models, Power BI, and self-service tooling.
• Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and unlock new capabilities.
• Collaborate with teams to translate requirements into architected solutions.
• Lead root-cause analysis when processes fail.
