Job summary

PenFed Credit Union is seeking a Hybrid Data Governance Analyst in Tysons, VA to advance the EDG program and manage governance tools. You will partner with Data Owners and Stewards to improve data quality and controls, with an emphasis on risk mitigation and reporting.

The role requires 3+ years in data governance, strong SQL/Excel/Tableau skills, and experience with Ataccama. Hybrid work setup in the DC area is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business/IT or related field.
• Master's degree highly desirable.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as 2nd Line of Defense to challenge 1st LoD Data Owners and Data Stewards.
• Develop data quality metrics and thresholds in partnership with the 1st LoD.
• Track 1st LoD data management incidents and findings and oversee remediation plans.
• Identify and assess data risks, design test procedures, and perform independent controls testing.
• Monitor and communicate changes to data regulations impacting PenFed's data governance program.
• Extract data from Ataccama to support program monitoring, system operations, and downstream reporting.
• Maintain technical documentation for PenFed's data governance components and functionalities.
• Stay informed of data governance best practices and how they may be incorporated into current processes.
• Champion data governance and data literacy at PenFed
