Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Data Governance Activation Manager in Piscataway, NJ to lead the data governance program and transform data policy into living practices. You will own data ownership, stewardship, and governance disciplines to enable trusted, discoverable data for strategic AI and analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of work experience in large data transformation programs focusing on data governance and data quality.
• Proven ability to manage multiple business stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize the Framework: Translate high-level data governance policies into actionable processes for business and technical teams.
• Stewardship Leadership: Manage a network of Data Stewards and build a community of practitioners.
• Value Creation From Data Initiatives: Drive adoption of a strategic intake process to identify data use cases and map to data product priorities.
• Tool Adoption: Oversee implementation and daily use of data governance tools to ensure data is a trusted source of truth.
• Analytics & AI Data Readiness & Enablement: Define data standards and metadata enrichment for trusted, scalable data products.
• Change Management: Advocate a "Data-First" culture with training and communication plans.
• Metric Development: Define Activation KPIs including adoption, metadata completeness, and issue resolution speed.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with business, IT, privacy, legal, and CISO to support agility.
