Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Manager: Data Governance to lead a data transformation program, ensuring ownership, stewardship, and governance disciplines across the organization. You will drive data readiness for AI initiatives and establish a data-first culture.

The role requires partnering with cross-functional teams, implementing governance solutions, and promoting trustable, discoverable data as a strategic asset within CP.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of work experience in large data transformation programs focusing on data governance and data quality

Responsibilities

• Operationalize the Framework: Translate high-level data governance policies and standards into actionable processes and workflows for business and technical teams.
• Stewardship Leadership: Manage a network of Data Stewards across the organization, providing them with the tools and motivation to maintain high-quality data.
• Value Creation From Data Initiatives: Drive adoption of a strategic intake process to identify data use cases that solve business challenges and articulate the resulting business values.
• Tool Adoption: Oversee the implementation and day-to-day use of various data governance solutions to ensure data is discoverable, trusted and secured as a source of truth.
• Analytics & AI Data Readiness & Enablement: Partner with cross functional teams to define and enforce data standards, quality checks, and metadata enrichment for AI/Analytics capabilities.
• Change Management: Advocate for a Data-First culture with training and feedback loops.
• Metric Development: Define and track Activation KPIs, metadata completeness, and data issue resolution speed.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Work with domain, IT, privacy, legal, CISO and business teams to ensure governance supports business agility.
