Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius is seeking a Data Engineer based in Philadelphia, reporting to the Data Warehouse Manager. This hybrid role focuses on SQL development, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modernization across Microsoft cloud platforms such as Azure and Fabric.

You will build and support data integration and warehousing solutions, collaborate with analysts and DBAs, document data flows, and ensure data quality, security, and timeliness across on-premises and cloud sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• At least 3 years of SQL development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Fabric Data Factory (FDF).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to SQL Server/SSIS-based ETL processes and cloud data platforms (Azure, Microsoft Fabric).
• Develop, support, and modernize data integration and warehousing solutions (SQL Server, SSIS, Azure SQL, ADF, Fabric).
• Support data warehouse and OLTP environments including ingestion, transformation, and data quality.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Developers, DBAs, and IT teams to implement data solutions.
• Analyze data sources, document data flows (ERDs, source-to-target mappings, data lineage).
• Design integration solutions with attention to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues across data, databases, and integrations with other IT teams.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages and Fabric pipelines, plus related SQL Server objects.
