Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Data Engineer to support data services, focusing on data integration, warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. The role reports to the Data Warehouse Manager and will work on SQL Server/SSIS-based ETL, cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric), and modern data architectures in a hybrid Philadelphia office setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, strong SQL skills, and experience with Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Factory, along with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
At least 5 years of experience, including 3 years in SQL development.
Hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Factory pipelines.
Experience with cloud data platforms: Azure, Fabric, OneLake.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Contribute to SQL Server/SSIS ETL processes and cloud data platforms.
Develop and modernize data integration and warehousing solutions.
Support data warehouse and OLTP environments, incl. ingestion and transformations.
Collaborate with analysts, architects, developers, DBAs to define data.
Document data flows, ERDs, mappings, and data lineage.
Ensure data integration considering security, privacy, and retention.
Troubleshoot production data and platform issues with IT teams.
Develop and maintain SSIS packages and Azure/Fabric pipelines.
