Job summary

Blu Omega LLC in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize enterprise data platforms. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL, and work with Databricks and Azure Data Factory to deliver data solutions across health and federal programs.

The role requires 8+ years in data/ software engineering, 6+ years with Python/SQL, and 1+ year with Databricks. You will support hybrid on-site work in Atlanta, GA, or DC metro areas, with Public Trust

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, database architecture, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.
Build and optimize data models, data warehouses, and lakehouse environments with Databricks.
Ingest, clean, validate, and transform large datasets from APIs, relational databases, flat files, and unstructured sources.
Implement data quality, metadata management, and governance controls to support trusted analytics.
Develop and manage cloud-based data solutions in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into technical solutions.
Document data architecture, pipeline logic, data models, and operational procedures.
