Job summary

Blu Omega Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions for federal programs. Remote role with strong preference for the DC/VA area; public trust eligibility required.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure, optimizing data lakes, modeling data, and ensuring data quality across distributed datasets. Collaboration in Agile delivery teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ETL/ELT workflows for analytics or ML.
• 5+ years with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• 3+ years applying dimensional data modeling.
• Azure-based data pipelines development.
• Experience with distributed data lakes/architectures.
• Experience with data profiling, quality, and cataloging.
• NoSQL concepts or Cosmos DB/Elasticsearch.
• Backend SQL/NoSQL testing and post-deployment validation.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust or Suitability.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure.
• Build data lake and distributed data solutions for analytics/ML workloads.
• Transform/Integrate structured and unstructured data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Design/optimize data models across SQL and NoSQL.
• Support data profiling, quality, cataloging, governance across datasets.
• Perform backend SQL/NoSQL testing and data validation.
• Automate data pipeline operations for reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver mission-focused data solutions.
