Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an engineer at the intersection of IT and facilities in San Francisco. You’ll shape power models, topology and load management to optimize data center performance and site selection, SLAs, and capacity planning.

You will build reliability models, forecast power needs, and partner with hardware, software and external vendors to drive design improvements and SLA-grade performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in data center infrastructure, facility or reliability engineering.
• Experience with data center power distribution and cooling systems.
• Experience building reliability or capacity models and power/energy forecasts.
• Cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own power and cooling topology of the fleet and validate telemetry against actual behavior.
• Develop reliability models for data center electrical and mechanical systems.
• Build power draw models from chip to facility to inform capacity planning.
• Collaborate with data center developers, cloud providers and vendors for improvements.
