Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an Operations Manager to support data center infrastructure projects across Northern Virginia with hybrid work. The role partners with leadership to drive project execution, oversee team growth, and manage day-to-day operations on multiple active projects.

You will lead foremen, technicians, and field teams; coordinate vendors; monitor performance; and implement continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations, construction, or project leadership.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data centers (Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure (cabling, fiber, racks, cabinets).
• Experience leading field teams (foremen/technicians).
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support execution and delivery of data center infrastructure projects.
• Manage scheduling, workforce planning, and onboarding activities.
• Lead and develop superintendents, foremen, technicians, and field teams.
• Coordinate vendor partners, resources, and project priorities.
• Partner with leadership on operational planning and upcoming projects.
• Monitor project performance and drive continuous improvement.
