Job summary

Align is seeking a Data Center Project Associate in the Phoenix area to support the build-out of large-scale data center facilities. You will assist with trade coordination, equipment installation and project planning while reporting to a Senior Project Manager.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in data center, MEP or construction management environments. The role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise data center design and installation, with training and mentorship from leaders in the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Project Management is preferred.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant coursework will be considered.
• Hands-on data center technician experience or project coordination experience is welcome for growth into PM roles.
• Interest in developing MEP knowledge and client-facing project management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers with on-site consulting for data center design, installation and operations.
• Travel as needed to support projects across the Western Region.
• Support white space fit-out project management activities including site surveys, documentation, scheduling and coordination of subcontractors.
• Assist with client billing, forecasting and project documentation updates.
• Learn Align software tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, MS Project, ConnectWise.
