Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks an experienced Information Technology Specialist II (Data Architect) to lead data collection, movement, storage, and transformation across ETL, data warehousing, and future streaming architectures. You will translate business requirements into scalable IT solutions for Mount Sinai, integrating architecture with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Ten years of related experience, healthcare technology experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform including Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge: Oracle, PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one of Scala/Java; ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with internal and external systems.
• Familiarity with big data stacks and streaming tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with cloud architectures on Azure or AWS; serverless and VM creation are a bonus.
• Experience working in an Agile environment; JIRA experience is a plus.

• Leads design concepts for new systems and documents technical designs for integration.
• Develops business cases with cost, service and benefit dimensions for funding decisions.
• Analyzes client business processes and documents functional requirements.
