Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Data Engineering intern to work on building and optimizing data pipelines that support reporting and analytics. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and gain exposure to leadership.

This internship is full‑time, hybrid (onsite + remote) for June–August, with potential for full‑time consideration after graduation based on performance. Housing sign‑on may be offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field.
• Must be enrolled during the internship period.
• Proven ability to model data for reporting and analytics needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large scale datasets for diverse consumer needs.
• Develop and implement scalable data pipelines using multiple technologies.
• Ensure consistent use of standard data structures.
• Analyze new data sources for quality, availability, and content.
• Write technical design docs and create unit tests.
• Support QA during testing.
