Job summary

US Foods seeks a Cybersecurity Risk Intern to support the Technology Governance & Security Team during the summer. You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise cyber risk management, governance, risk scoring, and reporting while working with senior team members and mentors.

The program is a full-time paid internship (40 hours/week, June–August) with potential for full-time opportunities based on performance. Hybrid work arrangement combines onsite and remote work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing the listed degree in cybersecurity or IT.
• Must be enrolled in school during the internship.
• Typically you are between junior/senior year or early graduate.
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and risk management.
• Basic exposure to frameworks like NIST CSF preferred.
• Exposure to risk assessments and governance processes preferred.
• Ability to track cybersecurity risks and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow directives from cybersecurity management and senior staff.
• Support day-to-day cyber risk governance activities and risk data maintenance.
• Assist with risk register maintenance and supporting evidence.
• Help develop governance documentation and communication artifacts.
• Learn and use tools for risk management and identification.
• Conduct basic research on AI, privacy, and cyber risks.
