Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating data.
• Experience using Python for data analysis, data manipulation, and automation.
• Experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks for data exploration and analysis.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments, particularly Amazon S3 and cloud-based data storage.
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling, table relationships, and data architecture concepts.
• Experience with data validation, data quality analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets using SQL and Python to identify trends, patterns, discrepancies, and actionable insights.
• Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data.
• Work with Snowflake and Databricks to access, explore, and analyze data across cloud-based platforms.
• Utilize AWS data storage solutions, including Amazon S3, to locate and work with data required for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data models, analytical datasets, and structured data tables to support reporting and business analysis.
• Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Translate business questions and requirements into analytical queries, data investigations, and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and business teams to understand data sources, relationships, and dependencies.
• Identify data quality issues, investigate root causes, and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support dashboard development, recurring reports, and business intelligence initiatives as needed.
