Checkout.com is seeking a data-driven professional to join our Payment Success Management team. You will own merchant performance engagements from kickoff to reporting, diving into large data sets to uncover root causes and test hypotheses with A/B experiments.

You’ll collaborate with account managers and ML engineers, translating complex analyses into actionable insights for merchants and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using data to drive measurable results.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis.
• Natural curiosity.
• Ability to explain complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Payments experience isn't required; we'll teach you in the first weeks.
• Consulting/background startup experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Own merchant performance engagements from start to finish, typically about three months each: kickoff, diagnosis, fixes, A/B testing and reporting results.
• Dig deep into large, complex datasets to find the root cause of performance gaps.
• Turn findings into hypotheses, run A/B tests and other experiments to prove them, and measure the uplift.
• Understand how our machine-learning optimization engine makes decisions. Spot patterns where it gets things wrong and work with our ML engineering team to fix them.
• Present findings and results to merchants and non-technical stakeholders as a clear, persuasive story.
• Use automation and AI to make the team's day-to-day work more efficient.
• Share what you learn across teams. The problems we solve are rarely the same twice.
